Meet the Founder

Elena Thompson, MS, BCBA

Owner & Clinical Director

Elena Thompson is the owner and clinical director of Accepting Hearts ABA, LLC. A proud graduate of Boston University, Elena began her journey in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in late 2018 and quickly discovered her passion for supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families.

With a strong commitment to compassionate care and evidence-based therapy, Elena founded Accepting Hearts ABA to provide ethical, individualized, and engaging ABA services for children and families.

Education & Professional Background

Elena earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and later completed her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She began working in the ABA field in 2018 and spent several years gaining hands-on clinical experience throughout New England.

Her work across diverse clinical settings helped her develop a deep understanding of individualized therapy approaches and the importance of family-centered care.

Vision

The Vision Behind Accepting Hearts ABA

In early 2023, Elena relocated to South Florida to be closer to family. After settling in the area, she quickly recognized a growing need for more ethical, personalized, and engaging ABA therapy services.

Motivated by this need, she founded Accepting Hearts ABA with a mission to deliver compassionate, professional, and child-led therapy rooted in best practices and a deep respect for each child’s unique needs.

Areas of Experience & Specialization

With more than seven years of experience in the field, Elena specializes in supporting children ages 2–13, while also having extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults ages 14–22.

Through personalized interventions and compassionate support, Elena works to empower every child and family she serves.

Life Outside the Clinic

When she’s not working with families, Elena enjoys staying active and spending quality time with friends and loved ones. She can often be found playing pickleball, exploring downtown, or relaxing at home with her beloved dog, Winnie.

She also enjoys discovering new restaurants and unwinding with a good TV show.
